Welcome to June! (And May Round-Up!)

Published by

Hey y’all! So, we realized that our welcome to the month posts was mostly a round-up of the previous month…so we tagged that into the title…lol…

We haven’t got a ton done this month, but we thought we’d dive into the updates, anyway.

Our June goals are rather simple, though. We need to finish this last round of edits on Prince of Vengeance and get the formatting done so we can put up ARC sign-ups, get the back cover finished, and order proof copies!

We also hope to work on Book 3 in the series some more because we kind of took a break from that while we edited…

And we need to get started on setting up a cover reveal and such for Heard in Silence Anthology!

Alright, so that’s some basic goals now, what have we been up too!

Kayti

Um, well…in May, I got surprisingly little done. But here goes nothing…

I finished my novella! The goal was to finish in 40 days. I finished in about 45, probably more like 60 with edits, but it was still quite the accomplishment since the story topped out at around 23k! I was rather happy with my progress!

I’ve read a lot of good books…lol…most of them being The Accidental Cases of Emily Abbott Series! But I’ve read several other good books too! I’ve been in a bit of a writing slump when it comes to my novel, Emberling, I just don’t know what to do with my charries, they don’t want the story to end and thus are misbehaving…*sighs* The life of a pantster writer.

Other than that, I’ve been working, and that is honestly all that has happened. For June my only goal is to finish Emberling!

Rissy

I finished another chapter in The Frozen North this month which I was super happy about! I also let my friend, Kaitlin, read over it and she loves it! Which has given me extra motivation to keep going and writing!

And my friend Hunter has been encouraging me a lot too, which has been super helpful and awesome to have both of them supporting me! 🙂

I practiced dulcimer a TON for yesterday, and it turned out alright…lol…

And, that’s about it minus all the baking I’ve done for family and friends!

Jaidie

I started a new book! It’s a contemporary Middle-Grade book about an artist, and that is all I’m saying for now. *winks* You all know I love to be mysterious when it comes to my projects!

I did a lot of drawing and doodling and such, which was lots of fun! I hope to have a new design up in my art store soon, and it happens to be fan wear for DPC (The Dragon Prince Chronicles!)!

I also finished The Fellowship of the Rings! Ack!!!! I could fangirl for hours but let’s just say Tolkien is at the top of my list of favorite authors! Right up there with C. S. Lewis!

Sisters Three

Collectively we’ve been editing POV and also working on a new project! We can’t tell you much because we’re only 3 chapters in, but the title initials are DWT, and it is a contemporary novella idea we recently came up with! The concept snagged our heartstrings, and so we’ve started writing it!

We also had Folk Dance and Dulcimer performances yesterday, which went surprisingly better than we were expecting! We hadn’t practiced Folk Dance in a month, because the last lesson day was the last day we had with our older sis before she moved out…so it turned out well, and that was fantastic! So, that was nice! It was super nice to see all our friends as well before the school year ended.

And we went on vacation! Almost forgot….it was so much fun! We didn’t go far from home, only about 4 hours, but it was so beautiful and just such a blast! We saw some incredible views of our beloved Appalachian home and just really enjoyed the trip!

Conclusion

As you can tell, May was a slower writing month for all of us, but it was full of tons of family time so we can’t really complain! We had such a lovely Mother’s Day with all our siblings over, and our Great Grandmother even got to come! So, that was special!

How have you been? How much have you wrote lately? Have you been reading anything fun? Let us know in the comments! We look forward to hearing from you!

Hooroo!

May was a slow writing month for me too! I don’t even remember what I wrote. But I made some realistic (hopefully) goals for June to keep me on track.
    Have a blessed month!!
