Hey-oh everybody! How are y’all? It’s been fairly nice weather round here and then decided to drop into the low thirties this morning, but I didn’t come here to talk about the weather…I came to tell you guys the title for my super secret book project, also known as Dice’s book!
I finished it!!!!!! *proceeds to run around the room squealing*
It was a long road, well not as long as some projects, I think I’ve been working on it for about 7-8 months now, give or take. So not only is it the only book I’ve finished it is also the fastest I’ve ever written anything! I know it’s not that great, but still… I topped out at 62k with some rewrites and more scenes to add, so all in all it should top out around 70k unless Dice gets a wild hair and adds more than I think will be added…lol…
So, that happened… and then Kayti was kind enough to suffer through writing a blurb for me, I mean with me…*cough* She did most of the hard work and I critquied her until she got it the way I wanted it…lol…*Totally not a bossy younger sister, just OCD…lol…*
Alright, so I’m rambling and stalling *sheepish smile* Oh, I did some Christmas art too! Or rather one Christmas picture because someone *glares at Dice* Didn’t want to wrap his book up in a timely manner.
Alright, so without further rambles I present you with….
A Very Corgi Christmas!

That’s the title of the above picture…not the book title…lol…who ever heard of thieves having corgis…lol…Anyway, that is the one Christmas pic I have done, it took me most of the week…*cough* OCD *cough*.
Alright, the moment you have all been waiting for, nay begging for (at least some of you have begged…lol…) The title of my book is…..

The Guild of Thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Of course with no exclamation marks…lol…that’s just because I’m excited!)
And dah blurb that Kayti was kind enough to write!
“Being a thief is easy, but getting caught…now, that’s when it get’s tricky.”
Dice is a street boy in the poor district of Raheren, forced to be what he must to survive. A lair, cheat, and thief. But just like all thieves in Arkrindon he abides by the rules of thieves, stick with your unit, stay in your district, and don’t get caught.
When Dice is jumped by another group of thieves trespassing in pickpocket territory, things quickly escalate. These aren’t just any thieves, this is a whole new breed of thieves, ones who don’t play by the rules. Rogues, burglars, and pickpockets have come together, abandoning districts and uniting under one man, Azic, the master of The Guild of Thieves.
For his freedom and the lives of his unit the Guild present a deal: Steal the King’s Jewel or watch everyone in his unit die. If he steals the jewel he’s dooming the kingdom but if he doesn’t everyone he cares about will pay the price.
Dun-Dun-Dun!!!! So, that’s the blurb…it was incredibly painful to let Kayti sum my book up into such a small amount of words, but I think she did rather well on capturing the heart or kernel of the story.
Keep in mind I’ll be taking beta readers in April, the month I started The Guild of Thieves, which feels very symbolic also, it’s my birthday month so bonus!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know your thoughts in the comments!
What do you think of the title? Do you like the blurb, does it make you want to read the book? What do you think about corgis? I love them!!! Anything else you’d like to know? Drop it in the comments!
Good-bye all!
