Yeah, as the title suggests we are super late on this one….lol…almost the end of April here, but just so you all know we filled this one out in March (not much better, but we tried…lol…also, we got invited to the game late. ๐ )
Without further rambling let’s break some rules! We mean do this tag! ๐
- Include the official Writerly Resolutions banner in your post. (Not sure where that went….so breaking that rule…lol…)
- Link back to the person who tagged you. If you werenโt tagged, link back to the website you found the tag on. (Thank you, Kads!)
- Tag at least 5 other bloggers who are also writers. You can tag as many people as you want!
- Ask them 5 new questions about their writing goals.
- What was your favourite piece of prose that you wrote last year?
Hmmm, let us seeโฆ.we already shared a group piece so we might share induvial if we can find someโฆlolโฆ
Kayti – The clouds caught the fading light making them glow with surreal swirls of vibrant pastel colors. Cattle lowed in the distance and somewhere a whippoorwill began its evening song. In the barn, the horses neighed and whined, and laughter drifted on the wind from the front gate. (My favorite piece from Rivals of Skyline last year! Bonus I wrote it on vacation on a real ranch…lol…)
Rissy – He fell to his knees on the cold, cold ground. He flung the sword from his hand and let the tears fall. They coursed down his face as he looked at the beast with an ache in his chest that ran so deep. (Piece from my short story Forgiveness I entered it in a contest…didn’t win, but I still want to publish it!)
Jaidie – I sighed, then took a deep breath of fresh western air. I felt the wind blowing my hair and gently caressing my face. This was where I belonged. Out here in the arena. Riding. Doing what I loved. This was home. (Peice from Brothers Divided)
- Whatโs a bad habit to do with your writing that you want to kick this year?
How about not writingโฆ.lolโฆweโre master procrastinators! Guys, we went two whole months without writing last year! Had we finished three novella-length books before thatโฆyes. But we still stopped writing for two months! We could have written another novella!!!!
So, being more consistent with writing and actually writing would be great!
- Whatโs something you want to try writing this year? (Stealing Graceโs question hereโฆ)
Thatโs a good question *proceeds to think for overlong amount of time* well, weโre trying out dystopianโฆ.and weโd definitely like to work on that some moreโฆit seems pretty interesting!
- What was your favourite memory of writing from last year? Why?
Getting to write THE END for the third time that year!!! That was amazing!!! Our most productive year!!! Granted the books were small, all under 40k, and one was under 30k, but it was still awesome to crank out so many books!!! It felt so good! Speaking of which, we should be writing right now but instead, weโre doing thisโฆlolโฆ
- Finally, what do you hope to achieve with writing this year?
Well, we each hope to complete a personal project! So for Kayti thatโs Rivals of Skyline, for Jaidie thatโs Brothers Divided, and Rissy is working on War for the Throne and Hidden Questions (Raven and Darius’s now titled book!)โฆ.she hopes to finish at least one of them if not both!
Also, we just started *glances at WIP page on site, feels mildly guilty, and then shrugs it off* a new book and we hope to finish it this year! Itโs called Glowing in the Dark! We also came up with another series called City of Rails…and we named our hacker, spy, FBI, being chased by bad guy book…lol…It’s called Bad Code and is the book we are currently working on! You can find all of these on the Works in Progress page under the Our Books tab!
Conclusion:
So we’re supposed to tag people…um, tag! Lol…we’re running a bit low on time around here lately…also, someone, not naming names but it might start with a J has a birthday tomorrow and by the time this post we will be away shopping with a friend….lol…
So, what are some of y’alls writing goals for the year? Do you think we jump about in our book projects too much? What’s your favorite piece of prose you’ve ever written? Let us know in the comments we’d love to hear from ye all!
Hooroo!
Sisters Three
