So, I realized like two days ago that it was my turn for a blog post, surprise! I have one written but it feels like it needs to be fluffed, itโs missing somethingโฆso look for it in the near future but not todayโฆlolโฆ
ย Today is going to be short and sweet because honestly, I’m not sure what to write. Iโm gonna give you some updates on World of Silence and if thatโs completely unsatisfactoryโฆIโm sorry! Lolโฆ
Okay, so first off, my editor (hi Candra!) and I are ten chapters away from being done! (I think Iโm holding up the process by only fixing one chapter at a time for her to readโฆlolโฆ) But thatโs super exciting! I hope to be finished with the editing by mid-March and then I will begin formatting! If you want to stay updated on what Iโm doing in World of Silence you can follow me on Goodreads, I post updates a few times a week on the progress of WoS!
Next, Iโm about to start making some graphics with some of my favorite moments! (If I have any by the time editing is doneโฆman, I am really tired of reading this bookโฆlolโฆ) But I hope to have some of these readyโฆsoon. Thatโs all I can say because I have to carve out some time for them and there has been very little time to carve lately.
Okay, so after all this boring news I am going to share something fun! So a few posts back I mentioned that Fledge has a theme song or at least the song I picked for him because it reminds me of him and his journey. So, Fledgeโs song is right here:
Avicii – Wake Me Up (Lyrics) – YouTube
I love the words! (Thus the reason I used the lyric video!) It reminds me of Fledge and his journey of discovery and purposeโฆand the people who told him he couldn’t help because heโs deaf. I love it! *hugs song!* Let me know what you think of it!!!
And last a small clip from a recently edited section of World of Silence!
We stopped many times as we moved through the dim, chilly, stone corridors, and each time the Wolvins would add more prisoners to the chain. Every prisoner added looked the same. Sure, they had different colored hair, were different heights, different ages. But they were all sad, dejected, and hopeless looking.
ย Their tear-stained cheeks and shallow, glassy eyes telling their sad hopeless tales better than any words. It was as if they had given up everything they once knew. Almost as if they had given up on life itself.
World of Silence (Kaytlin Phillips)
Sorry, that one leaves a lot of questionsโฆwait, am I sorry? No, not reallyโฆlolโฆhopefully that just made you want to read the book moreโฆif nothing else just to find out what a Wolvin isโฆhahaโฆ
So, there you have it, folks! Some totally unsatisfactory updates and a clip that leaves you with questions, yay!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Till next timeโฆ
Hooroo!
Kayti
