World of Silence Updates! No 2#

So, I realized like two days ago that it was my turn for a blog post, surprise! I have one written but it feels like it needs to be fluffed, it’s missing something…so look for it in the near future but not today…lol…

Today is going to be short and sweet because honestly, I’m not sure what to write. I’m gonna give you some updates on World of Silence and if that’s completely unsatisfactory…I’m sorry! Lol…

Okay, so first off, my editor (hi Candra!) and I are ten chapters away from being done! (I think I’m holding up the process by only fixing one chapter at a time for her to read…lol…) But that’s super exciting! I hope to be finished with the editing by mid-March and then I will begin formatting! If you want to stay updated on what I’m doing in World of Silence you can follow me on Goodreads, I post updates a few times a week on the progress of WoS!

Next, I’m about to start making some graphics with some of my favorite moments! (If I have any by the time editing is done…man, I am really tired of reading this book…lol…) But I hope to have some of these ready…soon. That’s all I can say because I have to carve out some time for them and there has been very little time to carve lately.

Okay, so after all this boring news I am going to share something fun! So a few posts back I mentioned that Fledge has a theme song or at least the song I picked for him because it reminds me of him and his journey. So, Fledge’s song is right here:

Avicii – Wake Me Up (Lyrics) – YouTube

I love the words! (Thus the reason I used the lyric video!) It reminds me of Fledge and his journey of discovery and purpose…and the people who told him he couldn’t help because he’s deaf. I love it! *hugs song!* Let me know what you think of it!!!

And last a small clip from a recently edited section of World of Silence!

We stopped many times as we moved through the dim, chilly, stone corridors, and each time the Wolvins would add more prisoners to the chain. Every prisoner added looked the same. Sure, they had different colored hair, were different heights, different ages. But they were all sad, dejected, and hopeless looking.

Their tear-stained cheeks and shallow, glassy eyes telling their sad hopeless tales better than any words. It was as if they had given up everything they once knew. Almost as if they had given up on life itself.

World of Silence (Kaytlin Phillips)

Sorry, that one leaves a lot of questions…wait, am I sorry? No, not really…lol…hopefully that just made you want to read the book more…if nothing else just to find out what a Wolvin is…haha…

So, there you have it, folks! Some totally unsatisfactory updates and a clip that leaves you with questions, yay!

Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Till next time…

Hooroo!

Hi there, my name is Kaytlin Phillips, but I go by Kayti. I'm a homeschool grad, author, reader, and child of our Gracious King!!! I have an obsession with the written word, or maybe an addiction. Ever since I can remember I have read everything I can get my hands on! I LOVE BOOKS!!! I also love writing and might have a slight obsession with pens and notebooks, don't tell anyone. I also love the smell of old books! And yes, if you're wondering, I talk to myself, I think all bookishly crazy people do...

  1. UGHHHHHH, your excerpt brought tears to my eyes!! Which is hilarious, considering that I’ve never read a book (I’m probably going to break this record by this summer Lord willing lol) that’s made me fully cry. LOL!! But AHHH!!!

    1. Oh, wow! That means a lot to hear that…it’s so satisfying to know when emotion comes through like it should! Thank you! (Lol…I’ve only read a few that made me flat out cry and they were middle grade books…haha)

  4. Hey, Kayti! You’re doing great. Revising is hard work. I love that scene so much. I can feel the prisoners anguish. Keep at it. You’re almost done!
