Hey folks! I am so excited to update you guys on the progress of World of Silence! Eeee!!! I’m working hard, my betas are working harder, and I think everyone is just working hard to get this thing off the ground and in the best shape possible.
Thanks to everyone who keeps encouraging me and giving me pep talks (Looking at my sisters, you guys are the best!!!). I seriously don’t think I would have gotten this far if my sisters hadn’t said, what are you gonna do with Fledge’s book? Which made me drag out my finished draft, butcher it about five times, and then present it to them with a tada! I think it’s better now! Lol…anyway, let me get started on the updates.
Update 1:
So, the release date has been moved from March 28th to May 25th…more on this in just a sec, but I wanted to let you know it’s gonna be a little longer before the book releases. 😊
Update 2:
I have an editor lined up! Yeah, exciting! I didn’t think I was going to get an editor because they were so expensive but…a mom from the homeschool group my sisters and I are part of who has an English degree volunteered to edit for me!!! So, thank you so much, Candra! I’ll be sending World of Silence to her at the beginning of February, once the beta readers finish! This is why the release date has been pushed out because I need extra time for Candra to do the editing. Thanks for understanding folks….and this is so exciting!
Update 3:
So, the betas have been sooooo super helpful! Lillian Keith did a quick read-through for me and pointed out the big things description, plot, and such, that I need to work on while my other betas are working through at a slower pace and pointing out typos and character inconsistencies…ahh, it’s going good! So, I’m working on the revisions Lily suggested, and I’m almost done with that part….and then hopefully there won’t be too much more to fix on that end…maybe. Lol…
Update 4:
So, Jaidie, Rissy, and I looked at the cover concept and noticed some blemishes in my art….and some proportion problems in Jaidie’s part of the art. Soooo, Jaidie is working on a new cover!!! You’ve seen her art, right? She’s pretty good and I’m excited about that!!! Then Rissy is really good with fonts and such so she’s gonna help with all that stuff! Also, extremely exciting!!!
I think that’s all…oh, I did finish the blurb for the book, which I will release to you guys a little later…um, I think that’s it besides I’m making progress on setting the book up on my Amazon account. I need to make a bank account to go any further, so waiting on someone to have time to take me to do that. Then hopefully I can get the book to show up on GoodReads, if anyone knows how to do that without having the book available for preorder on Amazon, please let me know! Cause, I can’t find anything…
I am getting so excited about this release! Soon, I share the blurb, the cover, Pinterest board, and Fledge’s song (or the song I assigned him), and also open signups for ARC copies and the blog tour. What are your thoughts? Are you as excited as I am?
