News, Beta Readers, & Welcome to February

Hi folks, welcome to February! The first month of the New Year went well for you, we had a good first month, busy, but good! Our older brother, Matt, got married this month! So we now have a sister-in-law!

Other than that there’s been a lot of chatting with friends and working on the third book in The Dragon Prince Chronicles! Which is now ready for beta readers! If you are willing to help out with that you find more info via the button below!

Alright, now let’s get into what each of us has been up to!

I’m back to writing after months of editing and it feels good! I mean, minus the fact that my almost 30k word beginning doesn’t feel right to me but don’t ask why because I can’t tell you…lol…

Project W is coming though, so that’s great! And with that announcement I think Emberling, my YA fantasy standalone that turned into a duology with Project W…well there might be a trilogy bobbing around in my head! If that happens the last book would be Project U….but it’s not set in stone yet…so don’t hold your breath, or maybe do?

Other than that I’ve read a lot, as in 12 books so far this year, and worked a lot too…haha…

I’ve been up to… cleaning? Lol…and making cakes for fun and then one for Mom’s birthday!

Oh, also…*ahem* I FINISHED THE FROZEN NORTH!!!!

EEEEEEEEKkk!!!!!!!

Well, technically I finished the first novella in the series, but that’s something! Now it’s on to editing it and picking something new to start while I take a break from snow…lol…But I’m excited to get it edited and into the hands of all you as soon as I can make it happen…haha…

I’ve been drawing a lot such as getting the cover for my MG Novella This Gray Canvas done! I did some fanart for my current WIP Project BD…I’ve been reading The Unfinished Tales after a long run of Gordon Korman books…haha…The Unfinished Tales is a big’en…lol….because it’s a lot of litte’ns. Haha…

Writing wise things are going pretty smoothly, I just got to the fun parts! And if you want to learn more or read an exclusive snippet of Project BD – which is a MG Contemporary – then you should totally sign-up for our newsletter!

We finally finished edits on Trail of Assassins! And now it’s, as mentioned above, ready for beta readers!

In other news from us…we have finally started drafting book 4 in The Dragon Prince Chronicles! We don’t have much, but we have started and are hoping in the next few months to knock it out, because we’re ready to move our writing to a new fantasy world!

We love our boys, we love Mazleah, but there are so many other cool worlds we can’t wait to explore! We’ve got high fantasy, low fantasy, dystopian, contemporary, sci-fi, and even fairy-tale retellings bouncing around our heads! Now it’s just picking which one to work on when DPC comes to a close. ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a great and productive month! We enjoyed ourselves and had fun!

We also have a new tagline for the blog!

Writing stories of Hope and Purpose!

But we wonder if we should keep it at that or something more like…

Writing stories of hope, purpose, and adventure/action…

Wow, congratulations on your progress last month!!! (Like finishing The Frozen North, making the cover for This Gray Canvas, and moving along in Project W! ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ EEEP!) Ooh, and that’s so exciting you came up with a new tagline!! ๐Ÿ˜ My vote is definitely to include adventure in that, to further describe what kind of stories y’all generally write. ๐Ÿ˜œ (If you did that, though maybe you don’t need to include “writing” so it’s not too wordy lol…so instead it would just be something like “stories of hope, purpose, and adventure”) I hope you each have an amazing February!! โค

Awww, thank you, Saraina!! (Ack, yes! Thank you so much!) Eeek! So true, we got it changed over here and love it! So much better than the super vague ‘Naturally Curious’…lol…though that was the perfect tagline while we were figuring things out. You too! Looking forward to lots of sprints this month!
