Hello folks! November literally flew by and December is flying by too! It’s going to be Christmas before we know it! *faints*

That being said, November wasn’t crazy productive but we did get some good writing done on group projects and finished edits in Trail of Assassins!

For this month we have some surprises!

For our newsletter subscribers this Friday is going to be exciting! If you’re not subscribed, you don’t want to miss out, so head over here!

Kayti is sending out free copies of her WWII Christmas short story – Despite the Odds! Everyone subscribed will get that in their email with the newsletter on Friday! It’s about the end of the war in 1945 and something known as Operation Santa Claus!

The second awesome thing is a giveaway! Jaidie is doing a character art giveaway for our newsletter subscribers! One lucky person who replies to the newsletter will receive a piece of character art for their character or one of their favorite characters! The rules for entering will be laid out in the newsletter.

Just a reminder that Kayti will be hosting a virtual writing conference on her site Writers’ Vision in January! The conference will be January 20th from 1-6:00 p.m. EST with recordings available if you can’t make it to the live conference!

This could be a pretty sweet Christmas gift for someone, or for yourself!

Speakers include:

Kaytlin Phillips
Abigail G. Thompson
Nadine Brandes
And Leialoha Humpherys!

Tickets cost $20 dollars and all procceeds will be donated to Operation Underground Railroad! For more info or to get tickets hope over to: www.writers-vision.com/events

Kayti is also running a tour in January for the conference to help get the word out and you can sign up to help with that here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScWBrsniTwVjowGlU5FeG3rLvCwYbss0BGxlVUgxkmLdMRxtg/viewform?usp=sf_link

Now, let’s recap what’s going on with Sisters Three!

I’ve got my eyes on the prize in the work department…lol…five more days and then I’m off for 10 days for Christmas! Lol…

I’ve been working on some self edits for Emberling! They’ve been going good and Lillian Keith has been helping me strength my plot/cut out my repetive nature…lol….

Project W has around 28k in it and I’m letting it sit as I get all the world details sorted out in this round of edits in Emberling. I really need to have Jaidie make me a map…lol…and I’m getting character, creature, and, location descriptions added to my notebook of descriptions! So yay!

That’s it…minus the work I did on formatting Despite the Odds, and editing for Jaidie, and my current ARC read…haha….

I did a little writing here and there, made a lot of food for the holidays, and spent time hanging out with/emailing my boyfriend.

Don’t worry, I’m still working on my book and my boyfriend actually has been helping me get unstuck and encouraging me to keep writing.

In other writing news, Jaidie and I rediscovered a project we had started together and have picked that story up! We’re now working on that together and it’s been super fun! There’s a clip from the story in Friday’s newsletter too, if you’re interested!

*pause my drawing* Wait, what I am I supposed to be doing?

Oh, yeah…

I can’t believe The Guild of Thieves has been published for over a month! Still mind blown that I’m actually published…lol…

I now have over 37k in my new fantasy project! I’ve hit some fun scenes and a bit of hiccup this week, but I think I’m unraveling the sticky mess that has me jammed and I’ll be sailing smoothly again soon.

I completed edits on my MG Contemporary Novella – This Gray Canvas! And now Kayti is reading over it…and not marking many things. I don’t know if I should be happy or questioning her editing skills…lol…

I’ve also been drawing, mainly just things I want to draw and fanart…lol…but I’m muddling out what to do for the cover of TGC and TOA and maybe a late fall book if Kayti makes up her mind on our publishing schedule…lol…

(Right now I’m digitally coloring Toothless and the Night Lights!!!! Eeeek! Too cute!)

November was a month of resting…ish. We finished rewriting the 7 chapters/8k words we had in our Christmas novella and now it’s time to try and finish the story…so far, we’ve been thinking, talking, and sorting out how the book needs to end so maybe between now and Christmas we’ll get some serious writing done! We also realized that now that we edited it….we’re not sure the title we originally picked…works now? Bummer….lol…

In other Sisters Three news…we went to a Christmas shop walk and Christmas lights and we’re excited about Christmas! It’s going to be so fun! Kayti and Mom have this week to work and then they are off until the 27th of December! Work for three days and then get a 3 day weekend before it’s back to the grind…lol…

We’re so excited about spending time baking and wrapping presents with Mom though!

All in all, November was a great month! Kayti turned twenty-one…and we went book shopping, forgot that bit…lol…and we had fun hanging out with our parents and siblings and just….yeah. It was a good month.

How was November for you? Is December busy? Do you like Christmas stories? How about free art? Who’s your favorite character you’ve made or read? Or both!

Let us know in the comments!

Yours in Stories and Dreams!
