Wow! This year has been full! Thanks to all of you, our blog has grown and is only 9 away from 150 subscribers! That is so encouraging! If you guys could help us hit 150 by the end of the year, that would be AMAZING! Either way, it’s been a fantastic year!!! We’ve got almost 2,000 comments on the blog! And this marks the 110th post since we started blogging!
So, we’ve never done a welcome to the month post, but we might start doing this…it’ll be a good space to update you guys on everything going on over here in our crazy corner of the internet, so let’s get started!
We’re gonna each have a section where we let you know what’s going on, and then we’ll end with a group section, and then we want to hear from you! Yes, YOU! Because you are what makes this blog possible!

Well, last month was Nano, as most of you know, and I won! Topping out with 50,155 words! My project, Emberling, isn’t done yet, but I’m headed toward the finish line. I took a small break to let my brain rest and because I have been editing in Heard in Silence which I hope to have ready to send out to the other authors by the end of the week! Key word being hope…lol…
I also had the great honor of being featured in an Anthology! Seize the Night hosted by Abigail Kay Harris and M. L. Milligan! It was cool to be featured alongside so many other great writers, two being fellow bloggers and friends Abbigail Raine B. (who you’ve probably seen my sisters and I talk about, though we usually call her Abbi) and Katja Labonte!
I’ve got tons of projects going on from a blog tour for Writers’ Vision to editing to designing graphics for stuff, so hang with me in the coming months if my writing slows down a bit…lol…

Hey-oh! I wrote most every day of Nano like I wanted to and may have switched projects part way through, but I’m more focused on my current project and actually have ideas all the way through to the end. I’m a plot bunny hopper (no pun intended), but I’m learning to be more focused.
My current WIP is a Peter Pan retelling, and I’m really excited about the twist it’s taking! I’ve written quite a bit, but mainly I’ve been baking Christmas goodies…lol…
Oh, though, I have been doing better talking to people at our homeschool group, which is good. Trying not to be so shy, you know INFP with a 90% introvert level. It’s not the easiest thing, but I am trying…lol…

After about week one, I decided just to finish my current WIP for Nano, and I got super close, but Dice made it more difficult than needed…lol…I’m two chapters away from the end, and I just have to figure out how to write the closing scenes, which are great in my head as pictures but don’t want to become words. (Problem with being an artist and writer…lol…)
Once I finish, I’ll be telling you guys the title and taking a small writing break to work on my art! I’m hoping to start an art blog after the new year and possibly start doing character and cover art (let me know what you guys think would be fair prices 😉 ).
I’ve been writing a lot in my little bits of spare time and not drawing as much, but I’m hoping to have a few pieces of Christmas art to share once my turn rolls around for a post! 😉
Sisters Three
As a group, we’ve been listening to lots of music and bouncing around on projects. We finished the first round of edits on Dragon Prince Chronicles book 2 and will start the next round in Jan. probably. Why not now? Glad you asked!
We’ve started a Christmas novella! No title as of yet, and we can’t tell you much about the storyline because we’re discovering it as we go, but it is about a girl named Zemira who is spending Christmas at her grandparents’ farm in the Appalachians! So lots of our favorite southern traditions are going to make an appearance, like Chocolate gravy and Southern Russian Tea (yeah, seems like it would be a Russian thing, but it’s southern, don’t ask us why we don’t know…lol…), Tater Candy, Fruit Cake, Boil Cookies, and Apple Salad to name some foods that will make an appearance…lol…
We’ve also got words and phrases we want to include just everything that says Christmas to us! With a small Appalachian town vibe (Think Mayberry but a little…different)
We haven’t started drafting Dragon Prince Book 3 yet, but we plan to soon…probably sometime in the early months of next year! We also hope to edit The Never-Ending Trail again next year and move toward publishing it at some point, but it’s still a little rough around the edges…lol…
Conclusion
We’re excited for Christmas, nervous about our Dulcimer and Dance performances on the 16th at the Homeschool Christmas dance, and just so happy to be getting so much done and enjoying the season of our Savior’s birth!
