When I sit down to write I feel alive and yes I’m already alive but I feel more alive. I feel different like I can be myself. It feels like magic, even though magic isn’t real, but that’s how it feels.
When I write I feel like I’m in the story with my characters, like I’m right there with them the whole time telling them what they should do or how to do something. I love it! Every moment of bringing my character’s to life is just the most wonderful thing to me. It’s just so fun but it’s so much more than fun when you sit down to write you’re bringing another world to life. It doesn’t matter if it’s a fantasy world or realistic world. But when I write that’s not all I’m doing. I’m also bringing those wonderful characters to life in my mind. Whether they’re villains trying to kill a prince or a prince trying to stop a villain it’s amazing.
It’s mind blowing for me. Writing is like making the world a better place, making the ones around you smile and feel like they’re right there in the story with you. I feel like writing is a way to show people what the world around them is really like because in the world we live in their can be darkness and there can be crazy villains running around that we have to stop.
The reason I write and want to be an author is because well, I want to change our world. I want to make it a better place. A place that people can look up to. A place that people don’t have to be afraid of anymore. I want to inspire them to do whatever they want as long as it’s a good deed, of course, and not a bad one. I want to change all of this because right now our world is falling apart. Slowly before our eyes and we are not even realizing it.
But with good stories it doesn’t have to be like this, it can be better. Because with a book we can go to a made-up fantasy world where you can live and not be afraid and we can bring that idea and feeling back with us. A story can make us laugh and that laughter can heal us. A story can take us to slay our first dragon giving us confidence to fight against the darkness in the world around us.
I’d rather be in a fantasy world, personally, one where you don’t have to be afraid and you can just be yourself, where there’s no darkness. I want to inspire people with my stories, to tell them that it’s okay to be afraid and that it’s okay to be yourself, even if you are a little crazy or goofy at times like I am.
What I’m trying to say is I want to change the world with my stories. I want people to look up to them like I do with other people’s stories. For example I look up to S. D. Smith’s books, The Green Ember Series because they got me through a really hard time in my life. Another series I look up to is The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson that also got me through a hard time. Third is The Ascendances Series by Jennifer Nielsen that reminds me I can be myself no matter what, that I don’t have to be afraid of anything. Another one is all of Chuck Black’s books because they’re just amazing and I don’t know, they make me feel so alive! I just really love them there’s other books but I feel like everyone should really read these because they’re such inspiring books that will help you write or want to write. They helped me a lot.
Just remember in this world there will be some tough times and some good times. I hope this helps you guys. I’ve been so very busy, I hope you guys get something out of it. Have a wonderful weekend!
God bless each and every one of y’all!
