Hey-Oh,  everyone!! It’s Jaidie, and *pulls Percy onto stage* and Fudgbottom on the blogosphere in the MORNING!! *turns on and starts blaring NEEDTOBREATHE to the whole blog world waking everyone (and a certain angry cat) up*

How’s it going?

*Percy opens his mouth before I take the mic from him*

Just kidding, we don’t have time for that, we’re here on business. *reaches into GT and steals Azic’s very professional hat*

Anyway, where was I?

*Percy whispers something*

Oh, right! Yes, I was tagged by the super awesome Isabelle Perry to do the What’s Their Name Tag? But I’ve already did this tag with Ethan from my upcoming release This Gray Canvas, so its your lucky day!

*crowd cheers*

Oh, no, you’re still going to have to listen to me ramble—

*crowd groans*

—just about my thus far top super-duper secret WIP Project BD!! *rubs hands together, shall we dive right in?

*Throws mic pole, hat, and luggage at Percy* ONWARD!!

The Rules:

The Questions:

1. What’s their name(s)?

Steffeno (or Steffen) and Diego (or Di) Alcatraz.

2. What’s their role? (Sidekick, Main Character, Villain, etc)

They are the two MC’s, they’re also twins! 😉 

Steffen (Steffeno) is the skateboarder with a slight attitude problem…lol…and Diego is the barrel racer and my cinnamon roll :p 

3. Do they love anyone?

Okay for context, their parents are divorced so Steffen loves his mom and Diego loves his papa. (Diego also loves his horse Ruffian pretty good too)

4. Do they have any relatives?

Well, for starters, each other…lol… then their parents, Ricardo and Katherine. I’m not really sure about any other relatives tho, I have it in my mind that Ricardo comes from a big family but no one else knows that XD .

5. Inspiration for character(s)?

Well, I’m not too sure…lol…we were on vacation in NM and Dad challenged us each to write a book set there someday so I just started brainstorming, and on another trip out west a few years earlier we had watched The Parent Trap, and for some reason that was (and is still) a very vivid memory to me, so I decided to make my book about twins, then Steffen and Diego sort of just showed up…lol… I was reading the Prince Warriors at the time and Levi was one of my favorite characters so I decided to make Steffen a skateboarder like Levi and then I love horses so Diego became at first an equestrian rider but has since been changed to a barrel racer for plot purposes! 😉

But besides that, I have no clue where these two knuckle-heads came from…lol…

6. Backstory?

Um, their parents divorced when they were still babies and Ricardo took Diego to live on his family ranch in NM and Katherine took Steffen to live in California. And not much else interesting happened, they both lived pretty good lives *shugs*

7. Dream? Fears?

Strangely enough, I somehow think they’re dreams and fears would give away the plot *strokes chin* Interesting… ;p

8. Friends?

Steffen’s best friend is Ryhs and Ryhs’s other friend, Cody, and his sister, Brooklyn hang out with them as well. Steffen’s really close to Rhys, not so much with Cody and Brooklyn but they’re pretty close nonetheless.

And Julie is Diego’s best friend since like forever.

Diego’s also got his rodeo buddies, but they don’t really talk except at rodeos. 😉

9. What is the story’s name?

It’s currently Project BD to all but me and my sisters 😉

10. Blurb of the story?

It doesn’t have one as yet 😉 but I will totally tell you guys when I get one ironed out! 😉

11. What are their habits?

 Steffen has a bad habit of rolling his eyes whenever he’s annoyed, he moves his hair from his face a lot too, and plays on his phone to ignore his problems.

Diego stuffs his hands in his pockets whenever he’s nervous, he also smiles a lot when he doesn’t know what to say.

12. Random fact about them?

Um… Oh, like I said before Diego was originally going to be an equestrian rider, but I decided to make him a barrel racer instead because A( where they live isn’t very close to any of those events and B( you can’t have a book set out west and not have a rodeo scene, right?

And Steffen…hmmm… I don’t really have anything except that his favorite color is red?…lol…(*Pats Steffen on back* Sorry, bud.)

13. Personality?

Like I said, Diego is my cinnamon roll, so he’s very timid and kind. He tries to be optimistic but he’s also an overthinker and a very giving person, wanting to make others happy even if it makes him upset. 

Steffen is, like I said, has a slight attitude problem, he’s pretty sensitive which makes him kind of snappy sometimes. But besides that, he’s a nice kid. He’s pretty closed, and kind of a troublemaker due to his reckless side, but he’s also very supportive to the people he cares about, and will stand up for them in a heartbeat.

14. Hobbies?

Steffen likes skateboarding and listening to music, and goofing off with his friends. 

Diego likes horseback riding, and playing Uno with Julie, and doing activities with his papa.

15. Inspiration for the story?

 As stated above my dad challenged me to write a book set in NM and it sort of fell into place by itself. Diego and Steffen were inspired by The Parent Trap, and the ranch (where most of the book is set) was inspired by the ranch we stayed at in NM, including a certain doggie in the book who was inspired by a certain collie who wouldn’t leave us alone…lol…

So I had the setting, and vague plot and my two MC’s, then on the way home we watched some running movie (super sad btw), but the main character’s best friend then inspired the optimistic, clumsy Julie! 😀

And after like four years, I think? I finally ironed out the idea and have thus been writing it this year! It’s been super fun and cozy, and is the fastest book I’ve ever written!! 😀 pretty cool I think!

16. Anything else?

 Um, not really, except I’m almost done with the first draft!! Yay!!! This is will be the fastest project I’ve ever written, being completed in just two months once I tie up these last three chapters! 😀 *does happy dance until Percy makes me stop*
