Announcing our Fall Releases & Other News! (A Twist of Tales!)

Hi folks! We did some cover reveals for a multi-author series (see this post). And then we fell off the edge of the world, more on that in a minute. But we wanted to give you guys an update.

First – expect to see the rest of the covers in that series go live here later this week! We apologize for not getting them to you week by week, we had good intentions but life got in the way.

Second – Kayti and Jaidie both have a novella in this series! We’re so excited about there releases this fall one week apart! It is going to be epic! We’re going to use today to tell you more about these releases and what to expect from the stories and where to find the pre-orders!

Third – the reason we fell off the face of the world…well, the blog world, we’ve been able to keep our socials going, mostly. *frowns* Anyway, was because we had two releases in the middle of these cover reveals and then releases passed and we had a trip to Europe to finish planning! Only, travel warnings jumped from a 2 to a 3-5 a couple of weeks ago, so we made the hard decision to cancel our Europe trip and pivot…yep, we’re still going somewhere! We are not planning a trip to Costa Rica (our sister Cass went and love it so it’s gonna be fun to go back with her!)! Needless to say, planning a 10 day trip in 30 days was not on our to-do list so it has messed with our schedule. XD

So, there’s the updates, the excuses, etc…and now it’s time for some cover reveals! (You’ve probably already seen these, so just act surprised please. XD)

Ta-dah! Yes, we haven’t taken the time to make fancy graphics…*sighs* Like we said, life has been busy than anticipated when we signed up for this series and scheduled two releases in March and 2 for this fall…lol…but we’re juggling everything.

Oh, and if you wanted more detail about them…here they are!

Releasing October 26th, 2026!

A broken man, a kidnapped princess, treachery buried under the snow.

Five years have passed since Koa arrived in Everhart half dead, and the horrors and secrets tangled in his past still haunt him. He wants to start over and leave his past far behind, but a strange lingering illness won’t let him forget that everyone he once loved is gone because of him.

When Snow Griffin riders from the neighboring kingdom of Narsford kidnap Princess Emalyn, the girl who rescued him five years ago, Koa comes to a startling realization—the riders meant to take him. His past has caught up to him, and if he doesn’t face it head on he will lose Emalyn forever.

In order to reach Narsford, Koa teams up with Emalyn’s brother, Prince Gaelen. Together they must traverse the twisting forest of Lost Man’s Bane, scale the impenetrable Nars Range, and cross the fissure-riddled surface of the Glass Lake if they ever hope to reach her in time. But treachery is afoot and evil grows between the shadows and snow.

This book is part of A Twist of Tales, a series of nonmagical Christian genderbent fairy tale retellings with epic adventures and animal companions.

Releasing November 2nd, 2026!

Three empires, one war, the fate of all in the balance.

Branded as a traitor for his father’s actions, Lan Tallan has received nothing but scorn from those around him, even those he once called friends. Desperate to prove his father’s innocence and restore honor to his family, Tallan joins the Hu army under a false identity. If they discover his lineage, they will execute him just like they did his father.

Thrown into the heart of a brutal war, Tallan begins to uncover fractures in the story he has been told. The Bao—long deemed the Hu’s foes—don’t seem evil, in fact, they claim they aren’t his enemy and that the real enemy is much closer at hand.

As secrets unravel and loyalties blur, Tallan is forced to confront an unsettling his father may not have been a traitor, but a man silenced for seeking the truth. If the war itself is built on lies, choosing a side may cost Tallan far more than his life—it may decide the fate of all three empires.

This book is part of A Twist of Tales, a series of nonmagical Christian genderbent fairy tale retellings with epic adventures and animal companions.

So, are you excited about our upcoming releases? What’s your favorite fairy tale retelling? Have you read any reverse gender retellings? And most importantly…do you like animals? We love them!

Also, have you ever been to Costa Rica?
