Good Will Towards All Men

Merry Christmas, folks! Can someone be proud of us…we didn’t fall off the face of the world at Christmas this year. XD We actually remembered to schedule posts and keep you guys up to date! Yay us! Come the new year we may run a pole to see what you guys would like to see content wise…we’ll see…but keep you eyes open because we have two releases in early 2026 that we can’t wait for!

For now, we hope you have an incredible holiday with your family and enjoy this post!

Do you carry goodwill towards others in your heart?

Our dad poised this question during his Christmas Eve sermon a couple of years ago. We’re not gonna try and recreate the sermon because he pulled out so many good things related to Christmas and goodwill and the Good Shepherd that we can’t begin to summarize it but this question hit home for us.

Do we have goodwill toward others in our hearts? We like to think we do. But towards all men… not just the people we know and like.

It’s easy to have goodwill toward our Nana or neighbors, but sometimes it’s not so easy to have goodwill toward someone who is just being rude. Sometimes, it’s not easy to have goodwill toward individuals you know are doing wrong things such as those involved in human trafficking or the abortion industry.

Yet the Bible says goodwill toward all men. Everyone. No exceptions.

It doesn’t say turn a blind eye but nor does it say to shame people, and it definitely doesn’t instruct us to judge people.

So, one of our resolutions for the New Year is having goodwill toward others. Everyone, no matter who they are or what they’ve done.

Because how can they come to believe in a loving God if the people who are supposed to be God’s people don’t show love or goodwill? How are we to being people to the Lord’s light if we are too afraid to approach them?

How can we water the harvest or plant the seeds when we are too afraid to step in the fields? Or maybe too prideful to stoop to their level? Or too judgemental to believe they are worthy of our goodwill.

If we want the world to change, we first have to be the change.

What are we waiting for? What are your thoughts?

Well, it’s something to think on isn’t it? Challenging…maybe even hard to accept. Burn a little, at least know it did for us. We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Until next time, Merry Christmas!
