EMBERLING Launch Tour Kick-Off! Welcome to Uriu!

Only 1 more day! Emberling releases tomorrow and I can’t wait y’all! I am so excited for this book to hit the Amazon shelves and arrive in the hands of readers! All week were are going to be celebrating the release with a launch tour full of sneak peeks, interviews, and other fun stuff!

Today I’ve decided to give y’all a brief introduction to the world of Uriu!

First stop, the home of the Emberlings.

It’s a beautiful and terrifying place. The Engle trees have leaves all year round, but different colors for each of the four seasons.

In the first season the leaves are light pink and purple like wildflowers, in the second season they are various shades of green, in the third season (when Emberling is set) the leaves are orange, red, and vibrant purple, and in the fourth season the leaves turn white like the snow (Book 2 is set in the fourth season! Though not in the forest, sadly).

The creatures that live in the forest are kept contained by the Emberlings, who serve as shepherds. There are Bano Stags, Mannada Birds, Wyverns, Knasher Hounds, Molten Wolves, and Bramble Bunnies to name a few creatures. 😉

The home of the humans and rangers. The Meadows of Harvanth were inspired by the rolling hills and fields of Virginia, the prairies of Kansas, and the fertile valleys around the mountains I call home. It’s a flat land with some dips and divets but overall you can almost see from one side of the kingdom to the other.

It was a fun setting to work with, especially during some scenes where the characters really didn’t want to be seen. XD Plus the tall waving grasses can hide dangerous creatures that have escaped the confines of the forest. *raises eyebrows*

And just for fun I added the graphics with the Emberling fire creations. 🙂 Because you get to see these sprinkled throughout the story!

Most of the story takes place in these two locations, with the Shadowlands taking a small part and the Wolfe Mountain being mentioned. But those locations will be explored more in later books of the series (such as book 3). Book 2 – Waveling – is set in the Meadows of Harvanth, primarily Moorland Glas which you will be introduced to in Emberling. The second setting in Waveling is the coast of the Inken Ocean along the Byvern Cliffs – the home of the Wavelings!

I can’t wait to continue exploring Uriu and I hope you guys are just excited as me! Tomorrow the characters will be answering some questions! So be sure to drop by for the fun!

One never realizes how large their world is until they struggle to protect it.

Her entire life, Iya has been pursued by the Rangers, who despise her people for the fire in their veins. She has lost everything to their hatred, and now the fate of Uriu hangs in the treacherous balance. The Emberlings are dwindling in numbers, causing unleashed chaos that threatens not only Englewood but the Meadows of Harvanth as well.

Malcolm Cabe is fueled by hatred as he sets out to annihilate the fire-wielding Emberlings responsible for his father’s death. However, his mission takes an unexpected turn when he saves Iyana, a secretive girl haunted by a heartrending past.

Iya must keep her identity hidden from Malcolm and the other Rangers because if they discover who she is…death awaits her. But if the truth is never told how can they find the strength to forgive and unite? Decisions need to be made, and the wrong ones could lead to the destruction of all of Uriu.
