GOOOOOODDDD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!! IT’S JAIDIE AND PERCY ON THE BLOGOSPHERE!!!

*trumpets sound and bright lights flash*

*Jaidie walks out of supply closet wrestling art supplies* Okay, everyone let’s get this party started! I don’t have all day you know!

*Percy facepalms* this is going to be interesting….

*Jaidie flips on light* Where were we? Oh, yeah, some updates on Project ID coming right up! *pulls lever*

Coming right up! *yanks on lever*

*chuckles nervously* Uh, how does this work again, Fudgbottom???

*Percy huffs and pulls lever the other way lighting up a giant screen that reads—

—THE QUESTIONS*

1. How’s the writing going overall?

Great!!! I have 15k thus far, and everything is still going smoothly! *claps hands, startling Percy* Yay!

2. What’s been the most fun aspect of writing this novel so far?

Oh, so many things!!!! The dragons for one, those guys are so cute and fun!! I love writing about them!
And the imaginary scene have been a blast! They transport me back to my own childhood and just feel so magical on the page!
Also, Ander’s voice is very strong and comical, he’s such an exaggerater XD

3. What do you think of your characters at this point? Who’s your favorite to write about?

I loves them! *hugs them all* they are such a fun cast to work with, all their different personalities and interactions are just great!
Favorite to write? Oof, hmm…Probably Ryu, he’s a side character, but he is just so easy to write! His sarcastic and straight-to-the‐point attitude is just so easy to get down, probably cuz he gets that from yours truly XD

4. Has your novel surprised you in any way?

Not too much, minus how easy it has been to write! It just feels so natural!!!

*Percy rolls eyes*

5. Have you come across any problem areas?

Not too many, a few places where I got stuck a little but got right back on track after a little break. 😀

6. What’s been your biggest victory with writing this novel at this point?

Not sure…I guess really, just finally starting this project to begin with! I’ve been mulling it over for a while and to finally be writing it just feels *sighs* so natural and freeing! Also, just got to the part where things take an unexpected turn!! Heheh!

7. If you were transported into your novel and became any one of the characters, which one do you think you’d be? Would you take any different actions than they have?

Hmm…either Emma or Ander. Ander is an artist like me, also introverted, and asking for help is neither of our strong-points. But Emma is a writer and she has a pet corgi (my favorite dogo! I’m getting one one day and naming him Pippin XD Emma’s is Fable, he’s cute. 😀 ) and she doesn’t like change, also like me. So, idk which one would be like me more, who do y’all think I sound more like? 😉
That being said, if I was Ander I’d try to communicate my problems more with people who can help and would definitely try harder to have a good relationship with Zane (his brother…my brother? Whatever…lol…)
If I was Emma…hmm, probably the same, I’d communicate better and ask for guidance.
Oof, that was hard. *wipes brow*

8. Give us the first sentence or paragraph then 2 (or 3!) more favorite snippets!

Will do!!!! Here’s the first sentence of Project ID along with some of Ander’s ridiculous internal monolog and one of my favorite quotes, thus far! 😉

9. Share an interesting tidbit about the writing process so far! (For example: Have you made any hilarious typos? Derailed from your outline? Killed off a character? Changed projects entirely? Anything you want to share!)

Hmm…well, I have had two very funny typos actually…lol…
Typo 1: My throat jumped in my throat (how does that even work, Ander?? XD )
Typo 2: I baked up a step (is he walking or making a cake?? XD )
There have been more of course, but these were the most comical to me…lol…
Besides those it’s been pretty smooth sailing, no deaths or major derailing, just side-quests, makes it more exciting, ya know?? 😉

10. Take us on a tour of what a normal writing day for this novel looks like. Where do you write? What time of day? Alone or with others? Is a lot of coffee (or some other drink) consumed? Do you light candles? Play music? Get distracted by social media (*cough, cough*)? Tell all!

I usually write on the porch (sometimes my room if its a bad allergy day but usually the porch), after lunch so 1:20-ish to 3:20-ish, Kayti is pretty much always sitting with me…lol…Music of COURSE!! I need me vibeses *Percy slaps his forehead at my Gollum impression* I always have to have my special Playlist created just for Project ID when I write if not I can’t get in the right mood. And lots of water is consumed, gotta stay healthy! 😉

Conclusion:

*runs off to work on more art*

*Percy slaps forehead* Well, um, that seems to be a wrap everyone, Jaidie has left the building. I repeat Jaidie has left the building and probably won’t return until…*shrugs* until she feels like it. So yep, I’m going to go. Cut the lights! I said cut the lights, we’re done! Shows over! Cut the lights!

*stage is suddenly plunged into darkness*

Creating worlds through imagination,

Toodles!

Jaidie the dragon nerd from Middle-earth, and Percy, the annoying news reporter we can’t fire ;p

I love reading your blog posts!!! This was so hilarious and it’s so exciting that you already have 15k!!! Do you by any chance have tips for writing smoothly? I simply CANNOT start my second draft… which is a problem.

      Aww, thank you so much,💖🥰
Um…I think my biggest tip would not to overthink it, just write it. It also helps me to set mini goals I want to reach say getting to a certain scene, introducing a new character, ect. That way I have something exciting to work towards and when i get there it gives me a boost of confidence💖😊 Hope this helps a little at least!💖
