Hey folks! First exciting order of business we are 4 subscribers away from 200!!!! Eeek! If we could tip over that edge that would be incredible! The last almost 3 YEARS have been so much fun! We’re so thankful for each one of you who follow our writing journey here at Sisters Three! And cannot believe we have been blogging that long…feels surreal!
Second order of business, WE’RE BACK!
Wait, you were gone?
I know, hard to tell when our posting schedule is as wacky as it is…we try guys, we promise we do but between Kayti working, Jaidie pursuing art, and Rissy being busy with her boyfriend and other endeavors we have a hard time sticking to the schedule…lol…most our evenings are spent writing or editing as we try to wrap up The Dragon Prince Chronicles and work on a fun project to retain our sanity and publish books and market books and yeah…lol…anyway, we do try to stay on schedule but sometimes life is just too hectic. And we thank all of y’all for your patience with us in that regard.
Anyway, we went on vacation! So we’ve got some pictures for y’all! We went to Virginia and stayed for 5 days and spent our time hiking, seeing wild horses, Stone Mountain, and dropping by Mount Airy where the Andy Griffith show was filmed! (and yes, some of these locations are in NC we were right on the border of the states)
We had an awesome time with our parents just hiking and enjoying a very chill schedule doing whatever. It was nice to just sit on the back porch of our rental and watch the sunset while Ruger ran around the fenced in yard. Or to walk through the fields behind the house as the sunset and let Ruger bound through the tall grass like a wild maniac. XD

Everyone enjoyed the trip and it was a much needed reset for us as the beginning of this year has been a bit hectic in so many respects…lol…we’re hopefully that the next half of the year will be more laid back. Though the summer schedule is saying otherwise at the moment. XD
Anyway, here’s a bit of news from May…doing this welcome to the month a bit differently since we’re short on time. But if you want the tid-bits on what the three of us have been doing writing wise the newsletter details all of that every month along with snippets from our WIPs.
All the News!
As mentioned May was a busy month for all of us, but it was fun! How could it not be when we had an awesome vacation, some super fun sprint calls with friends, and just some great news for some siblings looking for houses and literally have places fall in their laps!
So, yeah…that was encouraging.
June has started off well with possibilities we’re exploring for cars for Kayti, possible book shopping this weekend, and Jaidie getting a new bookshelf for her room and exploding book collection. She is following in Kayti’s footsteps and becoming quite the bookdragon, though she took a lot after our older brother Matt and is a literal Tolkien fanatic! Rissy graduated this month! So we’re happy for her!
Writing wise we’ve been doing pretty well! Kayti wrote a little over 15k in May which pushed Project W over 70k! This story is going to be a monster of a sequel, but what can you expect when it has double the amount of POVs as Emberling.
Rissy is making some steady progress on her new WIP and we got some solid editing done on The Frozen North Saturday so we’re happy with the progress we’re making on her story!
Jaidie has wrote a lot of words in the past month and half! Her current WIP—Project CP—is 30k in length and she just started the second phase of the book, there’s about 5 of those…lol…She’s getting some major words done and slaying it!
Sisters Three is about 8 chapters from the end of Trail of Assassins, this final round of edits is really beating our butts even though we’re not having to do a whole lot…just questioning every part of the story and ready to set Mazleah aside, but we have one more book to finish in DPC. Book 4 has a little over 20k done but we set it aside for the moment. Editing and writing in the DPC universe at the same time was draining and so not fun for us, more stress than fun at this point. Then there was the fact that we couldn’t remember who said what in which book so the events and dialogue were getting all tangled. So we’re working on a standalone that is a dystopian/sci-fi/fantasy thing…lol…we’ve got 15k in the story and quite enjoying the sarcasm, sass, angst, and just overall vibe of the story. So, it’s our fun/escape project at the moment.
Also, it’s our reward. Edit for 30 minutes in Trail of Assassins and then we get to write for 30 minutes in 5055!
If you would like to know more about the story let us know! We’d love to share a little bit!
What have you been up to? What do you have planned for the summer? Reading anything good lately? How about watching anything good?
