Hey folks! Welcome to October! Don’t you love this time of year? We do! It’s finally cooling off in the South and the leaves are just starting to change! Which we’re super excited about!
As for what we’ve been up to in September…well, this will be a shorter report, we think, because some of us have been moving slowly and then things have just been crazy busy here lately with life. So, that’s that….but here we go with life and writing updates!
Also, our newsletter is going to be a touch late this month, as in not until sometime next week, or possible the next since Kayti will be off work that next week…but it will be coming! Just later than usual…lol…So, if you’re not signed up to the newsletter now the time to do so! We share monthly snippets from our works in progress, more fun life updates, quotes, and some more fun stuff!
Alright, here’s what we’ve been up to!

Whew, September and the beginning of October have been full…I’ve been working more than usually lately as the business ( www.healthywithhappyspurling.com ) has been hopping, which is good, but requires a bit of tweaking to the business plan and schedule…lol…
I haven’t wrote much of anything lately. I took an impromptu break from pretty much everything. Writing, posting on my social, meaning I’ve just been posting when I wanted to instead of following my schedule…the only thing I did consistently was beta read for Abbigail Raine B. and finish formatting The Guild of Thieves!
Life wise, work…lol…and I joined the Author Adventure and that started on Sept 26th, so that’s been good! But I’m still trying to get into a good routine. I have for the last two nights implemented some edits I got from a friend on my western and I’m steadily moving forward with that! Or trying to anyway…lol…

Hi guys! Let me check and see what I’ve done…I’ve wrote a lot! I’m trying to finish up Stoneflake’s Bane even as another idea is begging me to write it! But I’m staying strong…trying to anyway…lol…
Oh, look, my birthday is this weekend! Lol…so I’ve been planning that! Hiking, maybe some shopping, and hanging out with my friend and sisters and parents and yeah…just enjoying life!
I haven’t baked as much because we’re trying to eat less sweets…you know holidays around the corner so preparing for that…haha…
And, yeah…that’s about it on my side of things!

Hey-oh! Well, let’s see…I’ve been getting GT all ready for publishing NEXT MONTH!!! We ordered the proof copy Monday, I think? Or Tuesday? Can’t remember…lol…Hopefully everything will look right the first time so we don’t have to change anything.
I’ve also been reading a lot *ahem* Well, not as much as before because of school, inktober, and trying to become unstucketh in my WIP given the odd project name of Project tLSoO (I know, those letters look like they make no sense, but trust me they do…lol…I’m just not sure that’s the title I want for the book yet…*shrugs*)
Other than that…well, the news is that in Project tLSoO I’m almost 20k in and not even halfway to the halfway point…lol…I feel like the characters haven’t done anything. Kayti assures me they have, but I’m not sure *shrugs* feels like a lot of words for what’s happened so far…lol…
Sisters Three
Whelp, together….we’ve wrote around 10k in a secret project we’ve dubbed Project Will! We’re having so much fun with an off the cuff no strings attached story…lol…it’s not what we’re supposed to be working on but it’s super fun and refreshing to just work on something that requires minimal detail checking…lol…
DPC 4 is not even at 1k yet…lol…that might change soon. We just came up with a clear way to more forward Tuesday evening after talking over our plot problems with a friend, so yeah…also, she gave us some great ideas for moving forward! So yay! We’ve been unstucketh! And haven’t wrote much because we went to the movies Wednesday and then called our friends last night…haha…we did sprint with our friends last night though! Finished this blog post then…lol…
In the next little bit we hope to start editing DPC 3 also known as ToA to us…and we hope to announce the title soon!

What have you guys been up to? Done anything fun? Have you read any good books? Heard any good music? We’re really enjoying “Even When You’re Running” by Casting Crowns, which is an older song, but new to us! We also really like “Dreams” by NEEDTOBREATHE! Such a good one! And just because “Children of the Sky” by Imagine Dragons is pretty great too!
