Usually, we can’t believe the month is over, but…April literally flew by in a flurry of commotion and birthday fun and planning….so do we believe it is over and gone? Yes, yes, we do. It felt both short and never-ending at the same time…lol…

We will say that the weather has been amazing down here in the Appalachians! Wow! It has been gorgeous! We’re sitting on the porch as we type this up and just enjoying the amazingness of this beautiful southern day!

Alright, so let’s get into the monthly breakdown, shall we?

Ello! I’ve been enjoying our weekend hiking adventures, trying to write up a storm, which has failed mostly, and working on getting a better sleep schedule.

Writing-wise, I have gotten about 8k added to my novella that I’m working on for a secret project. The ending is so close; it’s just sitting there and taunting me. I hope to finish it by the end of the 40-day goal I set, which is over in 8 days.

I’ve also been working a lot! I was working part-time for my mom, and now it’s moved into more full-time work since we (the business) launched a podcast! Which I’m editing, making graphics for, advertising, etc…on top of my other work. You can check out the podcast HERE if you want!

I’ve written a few sentences in Emberling, but honestly, it’s been pushed to the back burner in the wake of my novella, but I hope to pick my fantasy back up in the next week or so!

Hiya peoples! Tis I, Rissy, obviously, duh the header above in green…lol… I’ve been enjoying the perfect weather and training the spoiled little GSP named Ruger…lol…

Writing-wise, I’ve been editing the first few chapters of my book. I’ve been super busy with lots of stuff and haven’t gotten to write as much new content as I would like…lol…

I’ve also been doing a lot of Dulcimer practice as I and my friend, Hunter, are hoping to perform a song at our homeschool group’s talent show. A song I really need to know since Hunter and I haven’t got to practice together and won’t get to until mere moments before we play it for the whole group. *facepalm* I know, not my brightest moment…haha…But I’m looking forward to it!

*emerges from Spotify* Hey-oh! *dust self off* I didn’t realize I had so many songs I liked….lol…had to set up a Spotify account to download my mom’s podcast and then got dragged down the rabbit hole, or the never-ending all-consuming Spotify hole as my dad started calling it after he discovered it a month or so ago…lol…

Anyway, I’ve hardly written….hardly done any art…and mostly been reading The Fellowship of the Ring *smiles sheepishly* I’m addicted to Tolkien now! What can I say…lol…

I have been doing some editing in GT as the Beta Readers have started on it, and I am very happy!

Oh, wait! I got a HTTYD shirt with birthday money and LotR shirt, and I am just so….*screams internally* SO HAPPY!!!!!

Well, we’ve done a touch of writing in book 3 of The Dragon Prince Chronicles (DPC)…and the betas finished up on DPC 2, which reminds us we need to send that email to thank them….*Smiles tightly* We’ve been CRAZY busy with stuff…*blows out breaths* But it’s been alright.

We are on our last round of edits in DPC 2, implementing the beta suggestions…um, moving toward that July 21st publishing date! Eeep!

We’ve also been rewatching favorite movies and shows *bites lips* Alright, so we started rewatching Person of Interest and got sucked into the show. Mind you, we only watch the first 2 seasons, and there is some language, we wish we could run the show through Vidangel…*sighs*

But we are working on our books and looking forward to getting back into the writing grooves! (Right after this stack of old favorite movies is gone…*clears throats*)

Conclusion

First up, we’re going to be gone from the 10th-13th, so there will be no post on Friday and possibly not Monday, depending on how busy we are.

And on June 1st we have a Folk dance and Dulcimer performance so, please pray for us!
