Unfortunate Events Fun Post and Book Trailer!!!

Hello folks! Unfortunate Events releases Friday!!!!! *runs around squealing* But *ahem* due to some unforeseen tech issues with the paperback cover, the paperbacks will be releasing a little later. Hopefully by the 16th, but we will keep you guys in the know. 😉

Also, as some of you may have noticed…or not, we changed the color scheme on the blog up a bit and put some new images on the home page, including a custom banner! Eee! So, we’d like to know what you guys thought of that! (Or if you noticed…was the change too subtle?)

So, the other evening (we needed a way to procrastinate from working on any books projects) we decided to take Meyers-Brigg Personality test as if we were the characters! Hehe, it was so fun! So here we go…what personalities are the characters???

 ISFJ-T….Which didn’t sound too much like him, until we got to thinking about how Kahtan would act if he could get outside of his own head and the way he sees himself. Once we did that, it became obvious that this is what lies under the surface, Kahtan is just too turbulent, and not even he can see the potential that lies inside.

INFJ-A …Gaven’s personality fit him to a T! It was actually pretty crazy how perfectly his personality fit him!

ESFP-A…Our one and only little extrovert…haha…we’re introverts so most of our characters ended up that way, but Sage is super bubbly and just tons of fun! His personality matched him well.

ISTJ-T…Supposed the most common personality type *rolls eyes* but it fits Wixley well. Though he’s got a very gruff side, as you will all see when you read the book!!!

 ISTJ-A….Yeah, the same as Wixley, which we sort of get…but she’s got more *ahem* jerky about her. She’s just not a very nice person…lol…in our opinion, maybe someone will like her…haha…

We wanted to do Master Finnick but haven’t gotten around to him. We also wanted to do Nark from book 2 (we feel like he might be an Extrovert, or like Kayti where their introvert but it’s close so you might as well say ambivert) and we did do Silena from book 2 but we’re not gonna put her on here, because she’s not from this book so that’d just be teasing and we already tease you guys enough about Nark…haha…Once we get to Nark in the edits we’ll see about posting a clip so you guys can see why we like him so much! Though all our boys are special to us and we love them all dearly! *pulls all the boys into a group hug*

Oh, also, Autumn Rebbeca from Sunshine in the Haze made an amazing book trailer for Unfortunate Events! Like, she asked us for the proper punctuation on words in the blurb then recorded it, put music and video clips with it, and surprised us with a book trailer!!! If you want to check that out click HERE. And we also went ahead and started a Youtube channel and would love it you guys subscribed! Not sure how often we’ll post but it’s there…lol…

Also, we have a limited amount of ARCs available if anyone wants one! Reviews on Amazon would be helpful! Here is the link for that!

Hi, we're Kayti, Rissy, and Jaidie, a writing trio of sisters, living in the Southern Appalachians of Western North Carolina. The three of us are as thick as thieves as they say, whoever "they" are. We have four older siblings, a controlling German Shorthaired Pointer named Ruger, and a Mini Lop rabbit named Smallsy-Jo. Our dad encouraged us to start writing after he heard an elaborate story we made up, so we started writing things down, and eventually the things we wrote down actually made sense and now we're writers! Or aspiring writers anyway.

  3. LOVE the new updates to the site!!!! The trailer was EPIC and what a fun idea taking the 16 personalities test for your characters!!! I did that one time but I didn’t agree with the results. 😂 (Cuz it’s just like me to argue with everything. XD)

  5. You just had to do this? Good job! Lol you made this blog greater! 😀 (Sorry; hope you understood that I’m just excited for you guys!) Wow, a book trailer!!! Never heard of it till now. It’s a GREAT idea. I did notice that the font went from normal purple to neon purple to pink… 😉 Ooh cool MBTI!!! I confess, I used to have a favorite type (my favs were ISTJ and ENFP!) till I realized that ISTJs and me didn’t get along well and all types are equally great! 😛 Sure I’ll subscribe!

    1. Hahaha, yes we did!!!! Haha, thanks!!! (We get ya!) Yep, they’re pretty cool little things! Hahaha, you noticed! It was a subtle transition but we wanted it to match our new banner! Lol, that’s fun! We just recently got into doing personality types and it’s been pretty fun! Gives us a base for our characters!

  7. AAAA!!!! That was so cool!!! Those types do fit the characters!! LOVE IT. *cheesy grin* And I guessed Sage was an ESFP! (After all, I have an ESFP sister XD) And go Wixley!! He became one of my favorite characters after I read Unfortunate Events – should’ve known he would grow on me lol. (Because you did say so! 😉 😀 )

    So excited for it to release!!! (Oh, and Autumn Rebecca did a fabulous job on the book trailer!!!)

    I’m a melancholy phlegmatic. But I’m pretty much well rounded. I have a bit of a sanguine side too, not much, but some.

      1. Nice! I just tried on a few of my characters… Then on myself. My MC, Celimine, is an ENFP, and Heimerich is an ISTJ… I think. He was hard, and I’m not sure if that fits him all the way, as he was a singer… Then Wilhelm, who is something of a villain, is an ENTP.

        And it looks like I’m something like an INTJ! Which fits me mostly, because I’m very creative, but at the same time eager to learn!

      2. Haha, it’s so fun! It’s hard to answer some of the questions cause it’s like, they don’t know what that is? But other questions are super easy…lol…

        Cool! Yeah, none of them seem to match a hundred percent but they get close.
