Launch Day!!! And Short Story Winners!!!

Woo-hoo!!!!! Launch day is here!!! We are so supremely excited about this!!!! Thanks to all the awesome blogs and people who helped spread the word about WoS!!! Now, before we share a purchase link here is what some of the readers are saying!

And the plot – wow, that was action-packed! Poor Fledge went through a lot, but that made the ending just even sweeter. There was definitely no dragging in this plot, so hold on tight!

Vanessa Hall, Author of the Grace Suffienceint Series

This plot definitely didn’t drag! Plenty of action/adventure and suspense. My kind of book!

Kristina Hall, Author of The Moretti Trilogy

With classic morals, stirring adventure, a fight between good versus evil, and message of truth that spoke to my soul, World of Silence is a novel the Middle-Grade genre desperately needs.

Saraina Whitney, Reader and Writer

This was a fantastic read! Fast-paced, full of action, and uplifting, World of Silence is a great book that speaks to kids – and adults! – alike. With themes on coming to terms with who you are and finding your purpose in your life, this book is great for fantasy lovers, adventure-seekers, and the one just looking for a great read!

Abbigail B., Reader and Writer

And, there are some more reviews but we’ll stop right there…lol…thanks again to everyone! Okay, so you can purchase World of Silence on Amazon!!! It is available in Paperback, EBook, and Hardcopy!!!! So, be sure to snag a copy or two of your favorite format!

And now…

For the announcement of the winners of the Short Story Contest!!!! We had five people enter, and guys we read some great stories!!! Kayti was the only one who knew who wrote what…she read them to the other members of the team and let them pick the winner, so all would be fair. So without further ado, working our way to first place…here are the winners!

Third place winner is….

A Deaf Man’s Curse by K. R. Mattson!!! Congrats!!!!

Second place goes to….

Friends of Silence by Alison Stadt!!! Congrats Alison!!!!

And the first place winner is…

.

Invisible by Saraina Whitney!!!! Congratulations!!!

So, if the winners will shoot Kayti an email at kaytiphillipswrites@gmail.com she will get them their book prizes! But…we also, have a small change we made to the contest recently and decided to tell you guys about here…

The winners were originally going to have their stories posted here on the blog, but…we changed that. Now, with the permission of the authors will only be posting a clip of your story…and all the stories, with the permission of the authors, will be eligible to be published in an Anthology!!!

That means first, second, and third place stories as well all the other stories, if the authors are cool with that. We will also be opening the form back up soon and be accepting a few more submissions. So, if you didn’t get to enter this contest but would like to see if you can be in the Silence themed Anthology be on the lookout for that!

If you entered the contest and are cool with being part of the anthology let us know! That way we can move your story to a Google doc, share it with you and get started on editing!

So, are you guys excited about WoS’s release? What do you think of the anthology idea? Any ideas for a name for it? Are you interested in submitting a Silence themed short story?

Let us know all your thoughts in the comments and be sure to congratulate the winners!!!

Hooroo!

Sisters Three

Published by Sisters Three

Hi, we're Kayti, Rissy, and Jaidie, a writing trio of sisters, living in the Southern Appalachians of Western North Carolina. The three of us are as thick as thieves as they say, whoever "they" are. We have four older siblings, a controlling German Shorthaired Pointer named Ruger, and a Mini Lop rabbit named Smallsy-Jo. We're homeschooled by our amazing mom and our dad is a pastor and avid plant hunter. Our dad encouraged us to start writing after he heard an elaborate story we made up, so we started writing things down, and eventually the things we wrote down actually made sense and now we're writers! Or aspiring writers anyway.

  1. KAYTI I WANT TO SEND YOU A HUNDRED MILLION THOUSAND CONGRATULATIONS ON RELEASING WORLD OF SILENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is SUCH a MAJOR accomplishment and I can’t stress how happy and proud I am for you!!!! *hugs* *gives you all da dark chocolate* *showers you with confetti* World of Silence was epic and I know lots of other readers will love it and Fledge too!! (And the dragons. Can’t forget the dragons.) CONGRATULATIONS on the short story contest winners!!!!!! I’m soooo happy for all of you, and WAY TO GO SARAINA!!!!!! Can’t say I’m surprised she won. She’s such a FANTASTIC author!!!!!!!! This anthology sounds AWESOME and I loooooove the idea!!!!!! If time would be nicer to me, I would’ve totally had submitted to this, but I’ve been a bit creatively dry. Literally. I have only one story idea, my current WIP, and anytime I try to think about something outside of it…. there’s nothing. Ever been that way? Where you wanna write but you can’t think of anything TO write? It’s kind of scary honestly…

BUT I will definitely be cheering all of you on with this anthology project. WOOHOOOO!!!!!! GO GIRLS!!!!!!!!

  6. YAY!!! Congrats, Kayti!!! *spins around throwing confetti while blasting a kazoo as loud as possible* Happy Release Day! And congrats to all you contest winners, too! YIPPEE!

Ooo, I love the anthology idea! I didn’t get to enter a story in the contest (I wanted to, but I was focused on my WIP, and my brain just would not cooperate! Lol) though I have an idea for one, based on a novel idea of mine (which would be part of a series)! For an anthology title… How about “Heard in Quiet”? The phrase comes from Ecclesiastes 9:17 (KJV)!
