Hey-Oh guys! It’s me, Jaidie!
What? Three posts in one week? You may be thinking, but yeah, three posts in one week! (Mainly because we’re trying to catch up from the month of December where we totally abandoned the blog, but let’s not mention that😜) Anyways, here is my blog post (which was supposed to be up weeks ago, *avoids eye contact* I’ve been busy🤷♀️ reading counts as busy right?…lol…but it’s here now so that’s all that matters, right? So, yeah, today we have a really special guest (who also, happens to be my awesome Bestie❤️) Amber T. *Smiles wide and waves*
Amber T. Is a young talented artist, and I was so honored to do this art interview with her (because you guys, like really she is super gifted) so without further ado here’s the interview.
Tell us a little about yourself:
Hello! My name is Amber. I love most animals and I have some cats and dogs. I love to draw, play music, and do silly crafts like paint glass and do sculptures.
What inspired you to become an artist?
I get inspired by different art style variations, animals, and anime. I started as long as I can remember and I get inspired by things I watch and other art.
What inspires you the most while drawing?
When I am drawing I get really inspired by vibrant and colorful things
Who is an artist you look up to and why?
There are actually quite a number of artists I like!!! This one is hard! I am just gonna name one of many and that’s par0llel. I love the way this person’s art is! It’s super colorful and very unique and I love how vibrant and pretty it is!!!
What is one piece of advice you would give to a new artist?
A piece of advice I would give to a new artist is to not compare yourself to artists you admire. This is something I have always struggled with and still do! Just remember that the person probably has been drawing waaaaayyy longer, and to not feel ashamed if you can’t get yours to look similar.
What’s your favorite part about drawing?
My favorite part is gonna be coloring and shading! I love colors and I love coloring pieces and making them come to life with color.
And now a sneak peek at some of Amber’s amazing art.

(I was gonna do other pictures but quite frankly email and I are now mortal enemies because it keeps putting the pictures in random files where I can’t find them! Then it loses my email to Kayti with the pics altogether! *crosses arms and pouts*)
Well, that’s a wrap. Thanks so much for doing this with me, Amber!
Also, if anyone has any ideas of what I could draw that would be super helpful because I’m really trying to get better at art (it’s one of my New Year’s resolutions) but I need you guys to challenge me to draw something I normally wouldn’t draw, so if you have any ideas that would help me a lot, thanks! (Also, what I normally draw is rabbits and dragons….so something outside of those two, please!)
Hooroo!
Jaidie/ Dragon Nerd😜
Wow, that’s a really great drawing that Amber did!
Loved the post, Jadie! Thanks for sharing this interview with us.
Um, drawing suggestions… maybe draw some characters from a book you’re currently reading? Or try family and friends, that helps?
Lol. Me and tech are also mortal enemies, so I feel ya! 🙂

Amber sounds great!!! 🙂 And her art is really unique. Go Amber! I also love coloring! Shading is hard but worth it for sure.
And to Jaidie: Maybe you can draw (or/and color) a simple, majestic thing like a mountain, or a teardrop, or a hug! Every time I have painters block, I just do a really simple thing that inspires me.
I loved this post!

Hey what a fun interview!!!! 😀 YES Amber – I love that advice she gave about not comparing yourself to other artists! Everyone is on their own path and constantly looking over your shoulder at people who you think are better than you only slows you down. Ah that sneak peek at her art – love it! So cheerful and vibrant!!

Also, ideas for what to draw… well, I love drawing (when I get around to it, anyway!) movie characters like people from LOTR, Narnia, Star Wars, etc. Maybe you could do some of your favorite characters from there?
