Christmas Countdown Kickoff!!!

Hey-Oh guys, did y’all have a good Thanksgiving? Who is excited about Christmas? I know me and my family are! Today is the day (side note this was supposed to be posted Friday, but….we got super busy…and then the internet was slow…lol…) our family officially begins our countdown to Christmas! Usually, we would decorate, but this year we switched it up a little bit and decorated Wednesday which was fun, but we will probably never do it again because it really stressed mom out with Thanksgiving and everything. But today we are making snack foods for dinner and watching Fred Claus just like every year! It’s going to be so fun!

   What are some of your Christmas traditions? I’d love to hear about them!

   I just love Christmas! Kayti, Rissy, and I can’t wait to share more about our favorite Christmas traditions, movies, songs, stories, etc…and we would love to hear all your favorite things about Christmas too! So, I just wanted to share some of these pictures Kayti took of the house all decorated for Christmas(though I doubt it will look like this tomorrow…lol….mom just can’t decide where she wants everything😂)

Also, I’m really trying to draw more things (as in more things than rabbits and dragons) but I’m really not motivated to do that. So I was wondering if maybe you guys could like challenge me to draw something like anything you want it can be more than one too. I would really appreciate that because I really want to be an illustrator/writer, but I need to draw more things than rabbits and dragons…so please challenge me to draw more things, thank you😁

    What’s your favorite Christian Christmas song? Mine is ‘Oh come, oh come Emanuel’ by For King and Country (right now anyway it will probably change tomorrow) but here it is if you want to check it out and please I would love to know your favorite Christian Christmas song!😁

    I love dragons as well, there is no better mystical creature. They can be big and bad or big and kind and fearsome at the same time. Our Christmas tradition is a birthday party for Jesus. I love Christmas time snacks while enjoying a good Christmas movie. We love the blog can’t wait to see what’s next. Merry Christmas from the Phillips

    Oooo that all looks so cozy!!! 😀 I LOVE the decorations on your porch outside – so cheery and pretty!!! (I like those yellow lights best over the colored ones, lol…) Love that bow on the railing of the staircase – oh, and I love “It’s a Wonderful Life” so I love that quote on your wall! 😀 ❤ :))) Ahh, so awesome!! We haven't decorated yet but we're going to soon… we recently got a wood stove so there's less space in our house for a Christmas tree, but we're probably going to try to find a place to put one either way. Oh and I love "O Come O Come Emmanuel"!! Next I love "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear," "O Holy Night," and "Mary Did You Know." Love this post!!! 🙂 😀 Merry early Christmas!

      Thank you! It is rather cozy! Us too!!!! We got the icicle lights for mom for Christmas last year and dad and boys were not happy with us (even though Matt helped with the funding) because they had to put them up that day! And it had snowed and it was soooooo cold….lol…
      Oh, mom loves It’s a Wonderful Life!!! So when saw that she had to get it!!!
      Oh, wood stove!!!! We miss our woodstove!!! WE had one before we moved…now we have gas and it’s not the same….*pouty face*
      Oh, yes!!! Good songs!!!!! Merry early Christmas to you as well!!!!!

    Wow, your house is soooo pretty!!! I love the little nativity sets you used (are some of them from the Willow Tree company? Our family loves those figurines!) And that tree!! I love how the ornaments reflect the light!

    That’s awesome that you want to be an illustrator and writer, Jaidie! Um, let’s see. How about trying to draw a decorated Christmas tree? Or a shepherd and his sheep? Or the nativity scene? I don’t know, I keep thinking Christmas theme *haha*

    Oh man, favorite Christian Christmas song? I like Noel by Lauren Dangle, but man, Casting Crowns has some really good ones (that aren’t traditional, like Hark the Herald Angels, Joy to the World, etc. I like the traditional songs, but I love the newer Christmas songs Christian artists are putting out there. It’s so hard to choose! Pretty much any songs by Francesca Battistelli, Casting Crowns, Laura Story, Lauren Daigle… just to name a few artist to check out 😉 )

      Awww, thank you!!! Yes, we love them too!!! (Uh, I don’t know…Dad got a lot of them on Amazon and eBay for our mom…then two of them, one not in the pictures, used to belong to a dear friend of ours who passed away almost two years ago) 🙂 Thanks so much!!!!

      Oh, I know what you mean!!! SO many good ones!!!! Oh, that reminds me that I like Francesca Battistelli’s song ‘Christmas Is’! I get so tickled at the part where she says it’s saying thank you for a gift you’re going to return…hahaha….

    Awesome post, girls!! Christmas decorating is AWESOME (in fact, we’re about to dive into it right now… XD). Your porch looks awesome!! Oof, fav. Christmas song is hard – probably O Holy Night or Mary, Did You Know? 😀

      It is!!! We love it!!! And we get to help our Nana decorate on Tuesday!!! Yay!!! (Oo, have fun!!! Or maybe did you have fun?) Thank you sooo much!!!! Our hands were frozen when we finished with the garland….lol….it got cold and it was basically dark by the time we did that part….
      Oh, such good songs!!! I always love to hear our great aunt sing Mary, Did You Know!!!!
